Treasure Island is located on a barrier island on the western coast of Florida, situated between St. Pete Beach and Madeira Beach. The city is approximately 20 miles west of downtown St. Petersburg and 27 miles southwest of Tampa. Treasure Island covers a total area of 5.5 square miles, with approximately 1.25 square miles being water.
The city has a population of just over 6,800 people and is known for its beautiful white sand beaches and warm Gulf of Mexico waters. There are also several parks, restaurants, and shops located along the beachfront and throughout the city.
The Treasure Bay Golf and Tennis complex is also located within the city, offering visitors and residents opportunities for recreational activities. Other nearby attractions include the Gulf Beaches Historical Museum, the John's Pass Village and Boardwalk, and the Fort De Soto Park.
Treasure Island is easily accessible via several major highways, including Interstate 275 and Highway 699. St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport is the closest airport, located approximately 25 minutes away by car.
